Discussion: Have we lost the true meaning of festivals in the sea of commercialization?

In this digital age, festivals are about online shopping and ordering custom-made gifts. We are too busy to take out time for our loved ones and celebrate the root cause of the festival. The sea of commercialization has engulfed us and made us lose the true meaning of festivals. Take Valentine’s day, for example: people think it’s enough to just go to a website and order a bouquet, which is not really an expression of love. They do nothing to really value their loved ones and don’t put in any effort to spend time with them. And the whole concept of Valentine’s week is a bit drawn out. People show love during this week and then go back to disrespecting/fighting with their loved ones the very next week. So, the question at hand is: Have we lost the true meaning of festivals in the sea of commercialization?
